I believe most jobs and careers can help people become uniquely qualified for the job they're passionate about. Photography was furthest from my mind when I joined the military fresh out of high school. My four year career allowed me to grow my hobby of building and flying remote controlled aircraft while stationed stateside. By the time I was ready for civilian life again, my military clearance afford me the opportunity to work for an unmanned aerial vehicle  (UAV) company. Here I learned to edit promotional content while siamotainously learning about lens and different camera gear. One of my duties was flying drone aircraft as the external pilot. Around this time, commercially available camera drones were showing up on the market. The emerging drone pilot career field was beginning to take off and I felt uniquely qualified to start my own. Today I continue to work towards becoming a well rounded photographer in the real estate field.
